ITS GOOD RIGHT NOW

I have a good life...

Good friends and no snakes in my circle. All different types of people...from just regular 9-5 types to hustler types to real rockstar types...white,black,coloured,indian,martian.

This weekend just confirmed it (although i cant remember parts). It went from swanky events and then street culture events then dubstep then back to the hood.

Sneakers, talking crap and beautiful women.

If you were part of it then thank you

SHELFLIFE X PUMA

PUMA South Africa and sneaker store Shelflife in Cape Town have joined forces to create a fresh new range of t-shirts and caps. Shelflife’s street credibility and graffiti culture together with PUMA’s quality and bold style is a perfect match for this cross marketing collaboration labeled PUMA X SHELFLIFE.

The concept behind the design and styling of this new range comprises of a few simple visual elements that highlight both PUMA and Shelflife’s corporate images and echo the relationship between sneakers and street art in South African urban culture. A new series of logos and icons were specifically created to communicate this new partnership.

The PUMA Mobile Unit will be stationed at the STR.CRD event next Friday, 24 September, at the Cape Town station, where customers will be able to buy PUMA X SHELFLIFE product, as well as other PUMA merchandise. Street artists will be on hand to customize your sneakers, free of charge, when you buy any merchandise from the mobile unit.

The STR.CRD event will showcase some of the best international and local urban street culture with emphasis placed on the rising sneaker phenomenon. Local and international music acts, DJ’s, skateboarders, street ware, graffiti artists and B-Boys will also be there to boast their talents.

The PUMA X SHELFLIFE collaboration of apparel and headwear will be available at Shelflife in Cape Town after the STR.CRD event next week.

1993.

This is a time when marketing paradigms were shifting and in a transitional period. Organisations werent transparent as they are now...and the Air Jordan 8(one of the best) was coming out.

This ad is an example of impactful advertising co-branding at its finest....plus its funny!

Awe

Was chillin with Anthea Duce(design genius!) the other day on the dirty design couches and had our feet on crates coz we ghetto like that. And the convo got me thinking...how much shit has changed over the past 2 years.

Dont worry I'm not gona go into detail but I'm sure you can relate. You know how theres always a inspiration/motivation/reason for you to do something and then when you do it, work at it and eventually become good at it that initial motivation doesnt even matter to you anymore coz you have changed so much?

I'm sure you know the feeling. Safe.
