SO I GOT A NEW JOB

So I got a new job.

Out of nowhere and within 4 weeks everything went comfortable and chilled drinking tequila in a Mexican club to having to move house (fokin' Nothern Suburbs, china) to be closer to my new office. A new company, title and role that fundamentally shook up entire DNA and make up of who I am but was definitely the right move for my long term vision. Just didn't expect it to happen when it did with such short notice.

If you know me then you know about my long relationship with the Swoosh, 8 years to be exact, and my love of my 9-5 at Pernod Ricard working Jameson (GOAT), Ballantine's, Olmeca and Avion. For me to give all that up, you gotta give me something special...

Life achievement unlocked: PUMA ZA Sportstyle Marketing Manager. A brand I have always loved and fallen more and more in love with over the past 3 years. I get shape the brand's identity in the South African pop culture world (music, fashion, art, etc.) but the real reason I took the job was to hang out with Rihanna and Cara Delavingne.

REFLECTIONS

Yo!

I know it's a bit late but fuckit I been trying to get rich. 2013 was a whirlwind year and as I write this on the 7th of Jan 2014 I still feel like I'm in April 2013. Went quick because I was mad busy and did mad dream actualising.

2013 was the year I saw alot of my dreams come to realisation and instead of sitting back and feeling accomplished, it just made me hungrier and more driven to do more. Like I said, I accomplished a lot last year and you know what the best part of it was?

Having all my niggers there with me growing and achieving in their own way. Nothing beats seeing your people doing well.

Let's pop more molly this year.

Travels N Shit

I was just thinking (code for opiate induced self reflection) and taking stock of the first 6 months of 2013 and I ended up looking further and further back into time....

I realised that fuck I've came a long way from looking at pictures on the Internet and wishing. I mean it from dreaming about getting my grails to actually sitting at the table with the minds that design, make and market them. Who would've thought an ordinary kid of Cape Town with an extra ordinary love for sneakers would get there?!

I'm glad I never listened when they said pull up your pants, put on a shirt and get a 9-5. I am by no means successful yet but once I achieve my goals (read 1xRed 1xBlack '91 Testarossa's) I think I would like to teach that there is a big world out there waiting for them and that no dream is stupid if you're willing to stick with it.
