On Friday 6th of May, the Cape Town bar & club Fiction was host to an epic night of highest caliber music & artist entertainment! With Shelflife Store & Casio G-Shock providing a unique custom G-Shock “watch art” exhibition and Dj Ali B (a resident from Club Fabric in London) spinning his signature beats...this unique club & art event was massive success & as a first-of-its-kind...definitely was one for the history books!
5 established Cape Town artists, comprising of 3 graffiti artists, 2 graphic designers/ illustrators each painted or customised artistically directly onto a G-SHOCK watch as a “canvas” to exhibit & sell on the opening night, in addition supplied 3 unique A4 size paintings/ works to exhibit & sell. Each artist was allocated a wall and a “perspex display case” to customize in their own interpretation of the theme: “FABRIC OF TIME”. The art itself will remain on display for the entire month of May.
